When will Call of Duty 2021 be released? Where and when will it be set? Who will take care of its development? All questions to which Activision obviously has not answered, and to which it will not answer for a few months. The reveal, as per tradition, should take place between the end of spring and the beginning of summer of this year, barring unforeseen circumstances – you will remember that last year the reveal of Black Ops Cold War was held much later than expected.
Insiders suggest that Sledgehammer Games will be in charge of Call of Duty 2021. The studio developed Advanced Warfare in 2014 and WWII in 2017, and was supposed to be involved in the creation of Call of Duty 2020. Following turbulent development and deliberate reorganization. from Activision, the ball has passed into Treyarch’s hands, and it’s unclear at this point what Sledgehammer is working on.
However, the Infinity Ward track still remains standing: the studio stunned with its Modern Warfare reboot, and who knows that this year we won’t see a second installment of the popular franchise.
