ASUSthrough a press release, informed all consumers about the compatibility of the 1440p resolution of PS5 through its monitors.

As you know, the PS5’s 1440p resolution has been a subject of debate since the launch of the console, being a resolution not compatible with all devices.

Twelve ASUS monitors from the ROG, ROG Strix and TUF Gaming gaming series support 1440p resolution on Sony Playstation 5.

The PS5 supports 4K UHD (2160p) and Full HD (1080p) resolutions at 120 Hz and 60 Hz, some newer QHD monitors are able to “adapt” the PS5 signal by downscaling to 1440p, a technique that allows you to keep some basic advantages (such as image quality and definition) of 4K resolution.

ASUS gaming monitors compatible with PS5 and which automatically adjust the input signal are:

  • ROG Swift PG329Q
  • ROG Strix XG32VQR
  • ROG Strix XG32VC
  • ROG Strix XG279Q
  • ROG Strix XG27AQ
  • ROG Strix XG27WQ
  • TUF Gaming VG32VQ
  • TUF Gaming VG27AQ
  • TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B
  • TUF Gaming VG27AQ1A
  • TUF Gaming VG27AQL1A
  • TUF Gaming VG27BQ

For everything to work properly, it is essential to change the video resolution in the console settings, in the Audio / video section, by setting the option to “Automatic” so that the PS5 adjusts, consequently, the output signal based on the characteristics of the monitor connected.
