After announcing the PS5 price and release date, Sony has officially opened the console pre-orders. Needless to say, after a short time, the major e-commerce sites ran out of stock, leaving many gamers dry-mouthed. Among the various sites could not miss Amazon which, at 13:00 yesterday, 18 September 2020, was forced to block pre-orders.
Unfortunately, it seems that too those who pre-ordered in time may not receive their Playstation 5. Many American users are indeed receiving email from Amazon in which it is written that the console may arrive late due to high demand. The mail was also received by Geoff Keighley, Canadian journalist who tweeted his disappointment. At the moment the inconvenience would concern only American players. In fact, all those who have pre-ordered the console in Italy have not received such emails.
