A report by Bloomberg releases a preview of what could be the next chapter in the series Assassin’s Creedapparently born from a rib of Valhalla.

This year Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla will be enriched with a substantial expansion, Dawn of Ragnarok, coming in March. Ubisoft has decided to continue along this path given the lack of a new title of the franchise published in 2021, therefore choosing to extend the life cycle of Valhalla also considering its success.

The rumors spotted in recent weeks saw a future Assassin’s Creed Infinity which should expand the concept on which the most famous Ubisoft saga has always been based, however the company could, in order to pass the wait, soon publish a new project.

Bloomberg unveils this new project in a report: according to Jason Schreier’s sources, the company seems to be in the process of showing fans an upcoming chapter of Assassin’s Creed which will be a standalone version of a DLC initially dedicated to the latest and well-known Valhallastarring the murderer Basim.

According to this initial information, the title will be smaller than a classic open world, in order to act as a link for the most ambitious successor; it will also be based entirely on stealth mechanics and may already be on the way by the end of 2022.

However, according to Schreier, the motivation would not be found only in the ambition for Infinity and in the success of Valhalla. Ubisoft has in fact ended up in the center of numerous scandals and controversies in recent times, also due to the NFTs that have sparked discussions even internally, and the AC Valhalla project may therefore have been diluted over time and transformed to put a patch on the problems in development and delays suffered.

We remember that there is not nothing official yet, but we will keep you updated on all the news regarding the Assassin’s Creed saga.
