Surprisingly, Treyarch announced that today, August 26th, one will arrive new map for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War… Which is actually old.

The software house, about two weeks ago, inaugurated Season 6 of Black Ops Cold War, which in all likelihood will be the penultimate maxi-event for the shooter before a final Season 7 that will put an end to the massive support for the game.

With the seventh seasonal event scheduled for the beginning of October, in fact, a few weeks will remain before the launch of the new chapter of the series, Call of Duty: Vanguard, coming November 5th. Speaking of Vanguard, we remind you that the Open Alpha will also start shortly, of which you can read all the details in our article.

The Santa Monica SH will also be focused on the release of the game supervised by Sledgehammer Games, since, as announced a few days ago, Vanguard will have a Zombies mode which will be developed by Treyarch, and which will continue the events of the Dark Aether Story begun in the current chapter of COD.

Returning to Black Ops Cold War, we were talking about the new multiplayer map that, surprisingly, Treyarch announced late yesterday and then made it available today.

With the next patch of Black Ops Cold War, therefore, a new map for traditional multiplayer will arrive, free for all players and already present in the roadmap of Season 6 even if so far without a release date. Furthermore, if you are a historical fan of the series, you will already know which map you will be dealing with.

The new location is indeed Drive Ina small to medium-sized map set in an abandoned drive in and representing an old acquaintance for the series.

Drive In first appeared on Call of Duty Black Ops in 2011, as part of the paid download package Annihilation – the same that introduced the Shangri-La map in Zombies mode.

This is the latest in a long series of remakes of his previous maps by Treyarch. Just a few weeks ago, with the launch of Season 6, Slums, another old acquaintance from Black Ops II, was added.
