Black Ops Cold War – First details on the news of mid-Season 2, new Epidemic map

Treyarch has released the first details on the news planned on Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War for mid-Season 2 updatewhich will most likely arrive during the next week.

The information comes within minutes of the start of a new weekend of double points for all players, during which you can also speed up the progression of the Battle Pass of Season 2.

Waiting to know when Season 3 startsdue to arrive in April, Treyarch lets all players know that Season 2 still has more content to offer, which will cover both multiplayer and Zombies mode.

Black Ops Cold War multiplayer will be enriched with a new map called Mansion, and set in Cuba. It is a setting already seen in the single player campaign, and which will re-propose the building already explored during the story. Below you can see the brief preview released by Treyarch on Mansion, which as you can see from the map is a perfectly symmetrical map.

Moving on to Zombies, bad news for those expecting a new Dark Aether Story map to continue the events of Firebase Z, but there are still news to come.

With the mid-Season 2 update, the open world mode Epidemic (Outbreak, in English) will be enriched with a new map, Sanatoriumwhich will be included in the rotation of the settings already available.

A particular feature has also been announced, which will allow you to apply any project owned to the weapons of Epidemic by simply choosing it from the pause menu in game. Below you can see a short clip of the feature.

In addition, some changes to the stats of the following weapons will come in the next patch:

  • AK-74U
  • MAC-10
  • KSP 45
  • Milan 821
  • Krig 6
  • FFAR 1
  • Groza
  • Magnum
  • 1911
  • RPG-7
  • Light machine guns in general

The full list of changes will be announced on Monday.

Before leaving, we remind you that an event for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has started today which includes double XP points, double XP points for weapons, and double points for the progression of the Battle Pass. The event started today on PS4 and PS5, and will start tomorrow, at 7pm, on Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and PC, and will end on Monday, March 29th at the same time.
