All Game News

A few minutes ago, Activision, Treyarch and Raven confirmed what was just an indiscretion that has spread in recent days.

Over the course of the past week, Treyarch and Raven presented the intro video and new content planned for the Season 5 of the two currently active Call of Duty titles, viz Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. The event was initially scheduled for its debut in a few hours, but things did not go the right way at Activision.

There Season 5 of Black Ops Cold War and Warzone has in fact been officially postponed. The event, which was initially supposed to debut tomorrow morning on the Treyarch shooter, will therefore not arrive on 12 August.

Fortunately for fans of the series, the postponement is very limited.

Activision has indeed announced that Season 5 will start on 13 and 14 Augustand here are the details in particular:

  • Black Ops Cold War Season 5 kicks off August 13 at 06:00 CET
  • Warzone Season 5 kicks off August 14 at 06:00 CET

The developers commented on the news stating that some issues related to Season 5 were discovered earlier this week, requiring a few extra hours of work to fix.

Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 5 will launch on Friday, August 13th. This is due to a testing issue discovered earlier this week.

However, we would like to point out that the patch for Black Ops Cold War is already available on PS4 and PS5, and has a weight that is between 15 and 20 GB.

Season 5 is particularly awaited by fans of the series since, as evidenced by the clues contained within the key art of the event, it seems that soon Activision will finally be ready to officially announce Call of Duty: Vanguardwith, perhaps, an event on Warzone.

As for Warzone, moreover, Season 5 could also bring a new change for the Verdansk 84 map. The battle royale, in any case, must deal with a new controversy moved by casual players, who said they were very frustrated from the fact that the game is becoming overly elitist – but also dominated by cheaters.
