After the teasers of the last few days, Treyarch empty the bag: officially announced Firebase Z, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s second Zombies map coming in February!
Treyarch has released a note a few minutes ago on the official website of the software house, in which it surprisingly announces Firebase Z.
It is not the first time we hear this name: already in recent months, even before the release of Black Ops Cold War, the insiders talked about a Zombies map called Firebase Z, which is therefore officially confirmed.
There is also good news: we won’t have to wait for Season 2 to get this new setting in our hands.
The release of Firebase Z, which will be free for all players, is in fact set for February 4thwhen Black Ops Cold War Season 1 is still running.

We have a nice surprise for Zombies fans.
Today we unveil the title and launch date of the upcoming Black Ops Cold War Zombie map: “Firebase Z” will arrive during the first season on February 4thfree for all players.
With the destruction of the WWII era “Projekt Endstation” site, after investigating the otherworldly anomaly of the dark ether in Poland, Requiem now focuses on the latest site of the dark ether epidemic: the Outpost 25, known by the codename “Firebase Z”.
We have a lot more in store that we can’t wait to share in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for details.
As you have just read, Firebase Z will be set after the events of Die Maschine, and the events of Dark Aether History will continue. Unfortunately, we do not have other information: we do not know for example what the setting will be, even if the insiders seemed to agree in recent months talking about an Asian setting for the map – however, we remind you that some theories that emerged yesterday speak surprisingly of a possible remake of Der Eisendrache.
Together with the announcement and a very first image of the map, which you saw at the opening of the news, a new teaser clue has also arrived that follows those of the last few days, and which announces the arrival of a new teleportation system within Firebase Z to move between the outpost and the village.
