The cast of the film Borderlands continues to grow now that the film is in full production.
Gina Gershon (Showgirls, Face / Off, PS I Love You) officially joins the cast as the sexy (and crazy) bartender Moxxi.
Moxxi is a recurring character in the Borderlands series, debuting as an announcer in one of the first chapter DLCs, returning as the owner of many venues in all subsequent titles. She is also the mother of both series mechanics, Scooter and Ellie.
However, this is not the only entry in the last few hours.
The adaptation of the famous Gearbox Software franchise, directed by Eli Roth, will also see the participation of Charles Babalola (Black Mirror, The Legend of Tarzan) as hunter Sir Hammerlock, Cheyenne Jackson (American Horror Story, 30 Rock) in the role of a certain “Jakobs”, who presumably refers to the well-known weapons manufacturer Wainwright Jakobs, and Bobby Lee (A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas) as an unreleased character named Larry.

The cast of Eli Roth’s film confirmed so far includes Cate Blanchett (Lilith), Jamie Lee Curtis (Patricia Tannis), Kevin Hart (Roland), Jack Black (Claptrap), Edgar Ramirez (Atlas), Janina Gavankar (Knoxx), Gina Gershon (Moxxi), Charles Babalola (Sir Hammerlock), Cheyenne Jackson (Jakobs) and Bobby Lee (Larry).

In the film, Lilith (Blanchett), a notorious outlaw with a mysterious past, reluctantly returns to her home planet Pandora to find Atlas (Ramirez )’s missing daughter. Lilith forms an alliance with an unexpected team: Roland (Hart), a former elite mercenary, now seeking redemption; Tiny Tina (Greenblatt), a savage pre-teen demolitionist; Krieg (Munteanu), Tina’s muscular protector; Tannis (Curtis), a scientist with obvious sanity problems; and Claptrap (Black), an ever wise robot. These unlikely heroes must battle alien monsters and dangerous bandits to find and protect the missing girl, who may hold the key to unimaginable power. The fate of the universe may be in their hands, but they will fight for something more: each other.
