The return of Crysis Remastered in 2020 made many players dream, eager to see one day Crysis 4. What if Crytek was already working on it in secret?
As reported on Play4UK, Crytek recently updated their website, revealing that they are looking for a designer to a new AAA video game that the studio is working on. Of course, we still have no clues as to the nature of the project, but obviously players are dreaming of the highly anticipated sequel.
According to the announcement on Crytek’s website, the developer to be recruited must have at least two years of experience. The company, which wants to have technical knowledge in game development, also says that among the preferences for recruiting there is also having previously worked on a first person shooter.
In the same job announcement, Crytek also states that the designer must be deeply passionate about video games, and in particular sandbox FPS.
Here is the job announcement in detail.
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Game Designer to work on an unannounced AAA project in our studio based in Frankfurt, Germany.
As a Game Designer, you will be responsible for developing game concepts and systems that meet the vision of the Game Director and Lead Game Designer.
You will work closely with people from other departments such as System Design and UI to design and implement the features needed to create the desired gaming experience.
Requests:
- 2+ years as a Game Designer in the video game industry.
- 1 or more AAA titles shipped to PC or console, preferably a FPS.
- In-depth knowledge of the principles of game design theory.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to create high-level design documentation and game concepts.
- Deep passion for gaming, preferably FPS sandbox games.
As we have said, we do not have certainties, but the first thought obviously goes to Crysis 4.
When we think of Crytek, the first game that comes to mind is in fact the Crysis series, orphaned of a new chapter since 2013. We do not know the sales figures of Crysis Remastered, available on PS4, Xbox One and Switch, but one of its eventual success could have convinced the studio to finally start working on the new game in the series.
Would you like to see Crysis 4 in the future?
