According to reports, CDPR spent an impressive US $ 316 million on the development of Cyberpunk 2077, a truly astronomical figure. In this total, although it is not specified, it is very likely that the expenses for marketing are also counted, which was very important.
The same reporting profile reveals that there have been over 55 localized marketing campaigns and over 3.1 billion ad impressions in the global digital campaign (November to December 2020).
The numbers of employees involved in the development are also impressive: while 530 developers of CD Projekt RED worked on the title, the total number of people involved in the project was over 5200.
Finally, there is the dubbing with the involvement of over 2000 actors in 18 languages.
In light of these numbers, Cyberpunk 2077 is confirmed to be one of the most expensive video games ever, behind a few others. One of these is Red Dead Redemption II, which, according to some analysts, had a cost ranging between 370 and 540 million dollars.
