During the special live streaming of Square Enix dedicated to the anniversary of Dragon Quest, the Japanese company has also unveiled the new chapter of the series.
Dragon Quest XII was officially announced tonight during the series’ anniversary live stream, with a first teaser trailer that you can see below. The full title of the game will be Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate.
Yuji Horii, creator of Dragon Quest, also took the opportunity to give some first details on the game.
In Dragon Quest XII there will be multiple choices for the player, which will influence the way of life of the main characters. There will also be news regarding the combat system, even if the structure will not be excessively modified compared to the well-known formula.
Regarding the exit window, Horii did not comment, as well as did not specify anything about the target platforms. The only sure thing is that, unlike Dragon Quest XI, the new chapter will have a simultaneous global release.
