E3 2021 will be a free digital event for all attendees

After the unforeseen events of last year, when E3 was taken aback by the pandemic and was forced to cancel its annual participation, it seems that this year the famous fair will be held as expected, albeit with a totally digital event.

In the last few days, speaking ofE3 2021a news spread according to which some contents would only be accessible for a fee.

The Entertainment Software Association, the organization behind E3, denied such reports, explaining more about the new edition of the entertainment fair.

Everything comes from a report by VGC which stated that ESA planned to include some special paid content in E3 2021 within a sort of subscription, with a suggested “premium” package price of $ 35. The report indicated that these elements would be along the lines of game demos or some other kind of “extra access”.

The same portal, however, suggested that such rumors could be subject to change, especially after that, again according to the sources of VGCa major publisher was pulling back from E3 2021 due to this choice.

Following this report, the official E3 Twitter account has issued a statement directly in response to this report stating that there will be no paid pass, and that indeed everything related to E3 2021 will be free for all participants:

According to the latest statement by the organizers, it also seems that very soon we will have clearer details regarding E3 2021, which will be held from 15 to 17 June – postponements permitting.
