Today Electronic Arts and Velan Studios announced the beta of Knockout Cityupcoming dodgeball-inspired team multiplayer action title, to be held this weekend: the video game will be available worldwide for download and to be played on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC via Origin, Steam and the new Epic Games Store, as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S thanks to backwards compatibility.
The beta, which will take place from 2 to 4 April, will support cross-play and cross-progression across all nine platforms, offering the ability to play alongside friends and get in on the action ahead of the game’s launch on May 21. Knockout City will engage players in intense battles, and allow them to master the art of throwing, catching, passing and dodging the ball in a highly competitive experience, with fun surprises around every corner.
In open beta Cross-Play players will have access to everything they already got to love during the first beta: the moon, the cage and bombshells, the locations of Concussion Yard, Rooftop Rumble and Knockout Roundabout and the Team KO playlist – with even more new contents. This weekend, the Sniper Ball, Back Alley Brawl map, 1v1 Face-Off and Diamond Dash playlists will be introduced, as well as new style options. With a total of four maps, five playable balls, three playlists and tons of customization options, this second beta will keep dodgebrawlers on their toes all weekend. Private matches will also be available to organize custom matches against friends or enemies.

Fans will be able to preload the Cross-Play beta on their favorite platform right away and start playing on Friday April 2nd at 3pm; the servers will be active until Monday, April 5 at 3:00 am. By participating in this Cross-Play beta, players will also receive the Beta Blue Booster Glider, to fly in style, and the Beta Brawler Player icon when they return on May 21st for the launch of the video game. As a special thank you, players who participated in the PC beta held in February or who signed up early for the Cross-Play beta at knockoutcity.com will have the chance to try out the exclusive gear this weekend!
When Knockout City launches on May 21, players will have access to a free trial for a limited time on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC on Origin, Steam and Epic Games Store, and PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S via backward compatibility; during the test it will be possible to play the full title. All progress obtained from the free trial will be transferred to those who decide to purchase the full video game; Those who do so during the free trial will also receive additional cosmetic rewards as they continue to compete in Knockout City.
