Today SQUARE ENIX Ltd. invites players to discover the city of Midgar like never before with FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE, the graphically enhanced and enriched version of the highly acclaimed and award-winning FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE for the PlayStation 5 console. FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE is an extension of the critically acclaimed PS4 version and adds new content, namely FF7R EPISODE INTERmission.
This new episode follows Yuffie Kisaragi and her partner Sonon Kusakabe on a perilous mission to infiltrate Midgar, and also includes mini-games, enemies to face, a new summons to call on the battlefield and a magnificent Photo mode. with which to capture and share the most special moments.
FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE leverages next-generation hardware to bring various graphics, gameplay and system improvements on PS5:

- “Performance”, which prioritizes the smoothness of movement at 60 frames per second.
- Capture and share your favorite game moments with a fully customizable Photo mode.
- Experience thrilling battles using the DualSense wireless controller with support for haptic feedback and enjoy dynamic motorcycle racing thanks to adaptive triggers.
- Discover new ways to play with new difficulty levels for Classic Mode.
- Get into action right away with optimized loading times.
Those who have purchased FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE for the PlayStation 4 console can download a free update for PS5 that includes the next generation graphics and various enhancements listed above at no additional cost to play on the PS5 console. FF7R EPISODE INTERmission will also be available as a separate download from PlayStation Store after downloading the free update for the PS5 console. Anyone with the disc version of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE for PS4 will need a PS5 console with player to take advantage of this digital update.
FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE is now available at online and local retailers, and in digital format (both the standard version and the Digital Deluxe Edition) on the PlayStation Store. The FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE Digital Deluxe Edition includes a digital mini soundtrack featuring songs such as “Descendant of Shinobi” and a digital illustration album featuring concept art and character cards.
