During the Playstation 5 Showcase tonight, Sony officially announced Final Fantasy XVI!
FINAL FANTASY XVI is the new single-player action RPG from Square Enix, which will be available on PlayStation 5.
As also confirmed following the event, Final Fantasy XVI will be an exclusive PlayStation 5 console, and not just time. The game will therefore also land on PC in the future, but as far as the coveted console is concerned, it will only be launched on the new Sony hardware.
The trailer was shown on a PC emulating the PS5 spec.
We also discovered another detail about the game: Final Fantasy XVI will be directed by Hiroshi Takai, who previously co-directed the MMO Final Fantasy XIV. Therefore denied the rumors that saw Naoki Yoshida as director of the new chapter of the series, who will therefore continue to deal with the already available title.
