Marvel Games VP of Creative Bill Rosemann helps fans better understand the Great Unifier Raker and the Universal Church of Truth, presented yesterday in the new video of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. In this video, Bill, former editor of the Guardians of the Galaxy comics from 2008 to 2010, explains the origins of the cybernetically enhanced fanatic and the enigmatic organization, characterized by the common intent to spread the so-called “Promise” throughout the galaxy.
In this cutscene, Star-Lord and his crew come face to face with the menacing Grand Unifier Raker, flanked by two of his colossal bodyguards, the Inquisitors. Despite Rocket’s violent outburst, Grand Unifier Raker doesn’t want to (yet) harm the Guardians, but intends to introduce them to the mysterious Matriarch. The dramatic scene closes with the entrance on the scene of the colossal spaceship of the Universal Church of Truth, which engulfs the entire Hala’s Hope and captures the Guardians.

NVIDIA unveiled the footage at Gamescom 2021, during the announcement of the release of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy on PC with NVIDIA DLSS and Ray Tracing. The game will be compatible with GeForce NOW, NVIDIA’s cloud gaming service.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy will be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, PC and streaming with GeForce NOW on October 26, 2021. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is also coming to Nintendo Switch in a cloud version in some regions, a starting from 26 October.
