All Game News

Ubisoft announces that from January 21st all users of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint will be able to participate in Operation Amber Sky, a new live event that will allow them to fight alongside some teammates of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege.

The Operation Amber Sky live event will be included in Title Update 3.10, available for free download by all players from January 19th. The update will include:

  • 9 free missions: the Ghosts have learned that Sentinel is producing a poisonous gas, Amber Ruin, in Auroa, to be sold around the world. By joining forces with an undercover team from Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, players must stop production and find an antidote. To do so, they will have to complete a wide range of objectives and venture into certain areas infested with lethal gas, where they will have to wear a gas mask and change the filters regularly to survive. Once the event missions are completed, players will unlock eleven unique rewards, including new weapons and full skins from Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege.
  • New teammates: after completing the first mission of the live event,
players will be able to select operators Ash, Finka and Thatcher at any time and in any mode, as an alternative to normal teammates. Their looks, weapons and abilities mirror those of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege.
  • More than 120 new customization items: including some full operator skins and many more.

Coinciding with the event, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint will be playable for free from January 21 to 24 on Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Stadia consoles. In addition to having full access to the base game content, new players will get the chance to participate in the Amber Sky Live Event and earn related rewards. It will be possible to pre-download the game starting January 19th for Windows PC and console. The current free trial offer, which gives access to the main game for a total of six hours of play, will be paused during the free weekend to resume on January 25th. Players who download the free trial before January 21 will see the restrictions of that version lifted until the free weekend ends.

Also during the free weekend, some discounts of up to 85% on the Standard and Gold editions of the game will be available, as well as a discount of up to 70% on the Year 1 Pass. Players who purchase the full game will also be able to keep and carry over their progress during the free weekend. Visit to pre-load the game and get all the detailed information about the free weekend.

Title Update 3.10 comes after a full year of post-launch support for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint and the recent launch of Episode 3: Red Patriot. The game is available for Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One consoles, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Store, Windows PC, Stadia, Amazon Luna and Ubisoft +, Ubisoft’s subscription service.
