The time has finally come for the highly anticipated Resident Evil 4 remakeA project that re-proposes the first major object of the Resident Evil controversy on the market, the one that for the first time had innovated the brand towards the direction of action, partially abandoning what was its initial soul. And this time Capcomwho has now restored the luster of horror par excellence, doesn’t want to make a mistake.
In addition to the many weapons present (for which we refer you to our dedicated guide), this new guise of the original 2005 title also presents unpublished collectibles (ie the Castellani, where you can find their locations here).
However, veterans of the title will remember the famous blue medallions without too much difficulty, those particular objects to be destroyed in order to receive a prize from the mysterious merchant. Well, know that in the remake Capcom has expanded their presence, scattering them in various areas of the game.
Here’s where to find them all:
- 5 Medallions
- Reward: 3 joints
1 – The first medallion will be found outside the house in which the typewriter is present to save the game.
2 – The second medallion will be found on the ceiling of the barn located in the western part of the Farm, it will also be clearly visible from the outside.
3 – The third medallion is behind a wooden beam inside the largest barn. You can easily destroy it from the outside by shooting from the window.
4 – Still in the largest barn, you can see the fourth medallion in the upper floor, hanging from the ceiling. Shoot them from outside the building to speed things up.
5 – The last area medallion is slightly more hidden. Continuing in the area, you will find yourself climbing some stairs at the top of which there is a machine that will need a gear to open the grate that blocks the path. On the opposite side of the room, beyond the millstone, you’ll notice a door that leads to a small path. Make Leon jump down and, as soon as he hits the ground, rotate 180 degrees. The medallion will be behind you. Otherwise, you can also see it from the top floor of the barn.
- 5 Medallions
- Reward: 4 joints
1 – The first blue medallion in the area is on top of a wooden scaffolding, on the path leading north.
2 – The second medallion will be in the same spot where you find the boat. Aim from under the dock walkway to easily destroy it.
3 – The third medallion will be found inside the fish farm. Starting on the eastern side of the area, you can spot him inside the shack with the typewriter.
4 – The fourth medallion will be roughly below the writing: “Fish farm” on the map. More precisely, you can notice it in the southern part of the area, on the left side of the room under the walkway.
5 – The last medallion will be found under the northern walkway of the area. To see it more easily go down to ground level (on the water).
- 6 Medallions
- Reward: 5 spinels
This new tranche of medallions will be present outside the castle, in the area where you use the cannon.
1 – The first of these you can see in the northern part of the area. It will be in an off-game map location, near the wall surrounding the castle.
2 – The second medallion will be near a small window, in the same area where you will meet the enemy with the parasite inside.
3 – The third medallion will be in the NW corner of the area, next to a chest containing treasure.
4 – The fourth medallion is located on the south side of the area, more precisely in a small building similar to a shrine. The item hangs from a window looking out on the map.
5 – The fifth medallion is in the same area where you activate the cannon lift mechanism, in the western part.
6 – The last medallion is in the southwest corner of the area. To see it more easily, go up the stairs just outside the cannon area and then look down and to the left. The medallion will hang on a tree.
- 6 Medallions
- Reward: 5 spinels
1 – Starting from the western entrance of the area, you will find the first medallion in the southern corner, above a chest containing a treasure.
2 – The second medallion is located in the eastern part of the hall, behind a statue with three heads.
3 – The third medallion is located on the upper floor of the hall, embedded in the main chandelier.
4 – The fourth medallion will be found in the gallery of the hall (you will necessarily enter it during the search for the animal heads). The item will be near a pillar in the south corner.
5 – The fifth medallion will be found inside the armory. After defeating the knights, aim up at the open curtains, the item will be hidden between them.
6 – The last medallion will be found inside the dining room. Head to the northeastern part and check the tents.
- 5 Medallions
- Reward: 5 spinels
It is strongly recommended to destroy the medallions in this area as soon as possible, to avoid missing them permanently.
1 – After meeting the merchant, open the door and look east, you will notice the medallion in a portion outside the game map, hanging from a fuel tank.
2 – After climbing the first stairs you will encounter inside the area, immediately turn 180 degrees. You’ll notice the medallion inside the structure you just passed through.
3 – Continuing through the area, you will come to an area where there will be several containers. In the southern corner of the area you can see the medallion next to a red shipping container.
4 – In the same area as the previous one, near some cages in the northwestern part.
5 – Before reaching the target area in the depot and once on the surface, aim towards the south side of the map. You’ll notice the medallion hanging from a fuel tank.
- 5 Medallions
- Reward: 5 spinels
1 – Starting on the eastern side of the area, you will find the first medallion at the entrance to the underground passage.
2 – The second medallion will be found in the underground portion of the area. To destroy it carefully aim towards the northern outer part of the area, the object will be near some rocks outside the site.
3 – The third medallion will be hanging on the left side of the path that leads to the other side of the ruins, this is pretty easy to see.
4 – After using the ladder in the area, once at the top, head southwest. You’ll notice the medallion behind the right side of the door.
5 – The last medallion is fixed to a tower that is on top of the champions warehouse. To be able to shoot it down easily it is recommended to use the shotgun.
