Sony announced a new State of Play scheduled for this week, but go easy on expectations: this is not the much-talked-about mega-event for summer 2021, which is still the subject of rumors.
For many weeks, the players of the PlayStation community have been anxiously waiting to know if the famous PlayStation ExperienceSony’s direct response to E3 2021 in which it did not participate, will really be held as various industry insiders suggest.
At the moment we don’t know yet to answer this question, but to pass the wait a new State of Play is coming in a few days.
Through its social channels, Sony has in fact announced that on Thursday 8 July, at 23:00 Italian time, a brand new State of Play will be held, a digital event in streaming during which the next news in the upcoming PlayStation world are shown.
This week’s appointment, as communicated by Senior Director of SIE Content Communications Sid Shuman, will not see the participation of Horizon: Forbidden West or the new God of War, but will be focused on Deathloop. The game developed by Arkane Studios, due out in September, will initially be an exclusive PS5 console.
The show will last about 30 minutes and will focus on a new presentation of the Deathloop gameplay, but from the PS blog we find that during the State of Play updates will also be shown on some indie games and third party titles.
In the same post, PlayStation also invites fans to stay tuned in the coming weeks, as Sony has something new planned for the summer. Is the PlayStation Experience just a matter of time?
A new State of Play arrives this Thursday. Connect for a dip in Deathloop gameplay and other updates on indie and exciting third-party games. https://t.co/RcWAGOIbc9 pic.twitter.com/j65IjpH9TI
