All Game News

A little over a week after the launch of the game, here comes a decidedly unexpected announcement for Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time!

Activision and Toys for Bob are in the final stages of promoting Crash Bandicoot 4, which is scheduled to debut on October 2 on PS4 and Xbox One. A few days ago the launch trailer of the game was released which showed us the return of Polar and some new skins, while we remind you that if you have pre-ordered the digital editions of the game you can still try the preview demo.

We already know that in this unpublished chapter of the series, the first since Crash: Domination over mutants in 2008, there will be numerous contents (we are talking about more than 100 levels) and many of which are unpublished, from playable characters (the brand new Tawna and Dindogile) to the Quantum masks that will bring new mechanics to the gameplay.

However, it seems that the surprises did not end there, because from a leak of IGN Spain Here comes some unexpected news: Crash Bandicoot 4 will also have a multiplayer mode!

The article, perhaps published in advance of the embargoes and then removed by the portal managers, revealed the announcement of the multiplayer modes of Crash Bandicoot 4, which will be present in both cooperative and competitive variants.

Co-op multiplayer of the new game in the series will be called Pass No Play, and will allow up to 4 players to play and pass story levels together. As described, it appears that the 4 players will not physically play at the same time, but who will be able to pass control of Crash from one to another, perhaps to overcome the more difficult points of the stage. We await further information, however.

The PvP multiplayer instead, it will consist of two modes. The first is called Checkpoint Race, which, as the name suggests, is a real timed race that sees 4 players (the characters to choose from will be Crash, Coco, Fake Crash and the brand new Fake Coco) compete against each other to win and set the best time. There will also be “ghosts” of previously established times, as happened for example on CTR Nitro Fueled in time trials.

The second PvP mode is instead Crate Comb, in which 4 players challenge each other by breaking as many crates as possible to accumulate points. By quickly breaking the crates you will also accumulate a combo counter, which will also increase the points obtained.

What do you think of these news? Are you eager to experience the new Crash Bandicoot adventure?
