We don’t yet know when the massive game will be made available, but of microphones Official PlayStation Magazine comes a detail that makes us understand the proportions of the latest production of Travelers Tales.

Dawn McDiarmid, TT Games lead hub designer, told the official PlayStation magazine that LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will have 300 playable characters taken from the films of the franchise, to which will also be added a significant amount of NPCs for a total of about 800 characters throughout the game.

In the new LEGO Star Wars characters will appear obviously also from the Sequel Trilogy of the George Lucas saga, among which McDiarmid mentions the nice Babu Frik who appeared in Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker.

I think fans of the new trilogy will be delighted to know that Babu Frik will make an appearance as a playable character and is possibly one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen.

The developers also promise some special gameplay innovations for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, including a new, more in-depth mission systemwhich will present the possibility of carrying out multiple quests at the same time and even more elaborate missions than in the past.

From the interview we also learn that the game will not have improvements for the PlayStation 5 (which we also assume for the Xbox Series X | S), and that it will be playable on the latest Sony console with a substantially backwards compatible version.

The game was originally scheduled for 2020, but has been postponed to spring 2021. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will not only include events and characters from the 9 episodes of the Skywalker Saga, but also elements from spin-offs and TV series. such as The Mandalorian, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Star Wars: The Bad Batch (this coming in 2021 on Disney +) and much more.

Here you can find the details of the special editions of the game.
