All Game News

New news finally arrives on Marvel’s Avengersthe Crystal Dynamics game released on September 4th that has been at the center of many controversies – mainly concerning the lack of content.

While waiting to find out if the developers have been able to react to the first troubled months of the title – already in October, a month after the launch, Marvel’s Avengers featured huge shortages of active users in servers, which represent the life force of a game that aims at multiplayer to survive – comforting news arrives on the next content, which could be very close.

In a post from the game’s official Twitter account, Crystal Dynamics announced a new War Table in which we will talk about the next upcoming contents, in particular Operation: Hawkeye – Future Imperfect which will introduce the iconic Avenger Clint Barton as a new playable character, and a first taste of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S versions Marvel’s Avengers optimized for next-gen. The appointment is set for February 16th.

As you can see from the War Table announcement poster, it is likely that we will first meet Clint Barton in a parallel reality where the Avengers fell in battle, as evidenced by Steve Rogers’ abandoned shield and ruined Iron Man helmet at earth.

The new DLC will represent a sort of second part of Operation Kate Bishop: Take AIM, the first wave of content from Marvel’s Avengers introduced last December – after a postponement. The roster of the game will therefore expand very soon, and it will be right Clint Barton to become part of the list of playable characters that already counts Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Hulk, Kamala Khan and precisely his student Kate Bishop (whose TV series is also in development).

However, we do not yet have release dates for the DLC of Hawk eye and the PS5 and Xbox Series X | S versions, also the subject of postponements – initially were to be launched simultaneously with the next generation consoles. The updates, however, will be free for those who already own the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game.

In our recent article, we talked about one of the problems that may have ruined, perhaps forever, the reputation of Marvel’s Avengers. It goes without saying that with the success of the MCU in the cinema, many were waiting to have the game of Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix in their hands, which however proved to be a heavy commercial flop for the company. What do you think? Do you think it was the hype that was the main suspect for the failure of Avengers?
