The official Twitter account of Metal Gear Solid suggests that something important is about to happen, and, even if we are still in the rumor field, fans of the series are starting to dream …
For a long time now there has been talk of the possibility of a remake of Metal Gear Solid, historic first chapter in 3D of the series created by Hideo Kojima. Last year on several occasions there was talk of Bluepoint Games, developers of the remakes of Shadow of the Colossus and Demon’s Souls, as the most plausible suspects for the development of the game, and even at the beginning of February there were potential clues from Sony about the mythological object of desire.
From the official profiles of the series, nothing new… at least until a few hours ago!
To explain what happened, we have to start from “far away” and explain who it is Tom Olsen. This Twitter profile, opened only a few days ago, has since been dedicated to publishing a long series of screenshots dedicated to the Metal Gear Solid series. At first it seemed like it was a simple profile as proof of love for the Kojima saga, but what happened a few hours ago caused quite a stir.
Olsen (will that be his real name?) Posted an image of MGS accompanied by the caption
I came to the computer lab to say hello, but there’s nobody here. They must be at a meeting or something. Maybe next time.
Nothing apparently noteworthy, but the tweet was shared by an excellent profile: the official account of Metal Gear Solid has in fact reposted the photo of Olsen along with a new caption, in which reference is made to possible news coming next week:
Tom, we talked about it. Check your Codec every morning for updates on meetings and evacuations in case of PMC raids.
And we have visitors arriving next week, so finish cleaning the vents and make sure the flags are all hanging properly, but don’t touch the C4 this time.
