Nintendo has released a new trailer dedicated to the story of Metroid Dreadthe highly anticipated fifth major installment of the Metroid series coming this October.
Presented at E3 2021, Metroid Dread marks the return of the Metroid franchise 19 years after the release of the fourth main chapter, Metroid Fusion.
In this new trailer, we are shown the events that started the story of Metroid Dread and the new adventure of Samus Aran.
The valiant Samus is lured by a distress call from a planet she does not know, and which has been infected with a mysterious alien entity called Parasite X that the Galactic Federation thought was extinct.
The trailer also mentions the seven EMMI robots (Multiform Interplanetary Mobile Explorers), sent by the Federation to shed light on the mystery but which seem to have vanished into thin air.
Metroid Dread will be released on October 8 as an exclusive Nintendo Switch.
