Despite Arkane’s good intentions, Deathloop won’t be out in the spring.
The creators of Dishonored and Prey announced a few minutes ago that Deathloopthe shooter for PS5 and PC, will no longer arrive on May 21st as originally planned, but instead on September 14again on the platforms just mentioned.
Arkane posted a note on Twitter apologizing to the players, and asking for more time to perfect Deathloop and post a great experience.
Here is Arkane’s note, signed by game director Dinga Bakaba, art director Sebastien Mitton and the entire development team:
We have made the decision to postpone the launch of Deathloop until September 14, 2021.
We want to be committed to quality and to preserve our team’s ambitions, ensuring the health and safety of everyone in Arkane. We will use the extra time to achieve our goal: to create a fun and unique experience.
We apologize for the long wait and thank you for the passion and excitement. This is the fuel that sets our creativity and hard work in motion. We can’t wait to show you more of Deathloop soon.
