PS4 may no longer be able to “carry the weight” of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone

All Game News

Activision has recently stated that players with a PlayStation 4 500GB they may need to “make room” if they wish to have the full and updated versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War And Modern Warfare/Warzone.

In a post on the official Call of Duty blog, Activision reports: “Users who own a standard PlayStation 4 with a 500GB hard drive may need to make room to be able to support the full versions of Modern Warfare / Warzone and Black Ops Cold War, with all add-on packages installed. If both titles are already installed and updated, it will be necessary delete some unused game content to successfully download and install the latest Warzone patch.

It is a recognized problem that the latest Call of Duty requires a large amount of space, but it seems that with the most recent updates we are going beyond the natural capacity of PS4.

Within the same post, the authors recall that you can press R3 in the main menu of Black Ops Cold War to uninstall “game content you no longer need”, concerning the campaign or zombie mode, for example. The same operation can be performed on Modern Warfare / Warzone via the in-game options. We remind you that it is not necessary to download the Warzone Season 2 update if you plan to play only BOCW. We look forward to further news!
