It just seems like the rumors about Playstation 5 Pro and the new version of xbox series x are more than just rumors.
Take-Two Interactive held its regular investor meeting to talk about the latest fiscal quarter, reporting on the results. On the occasion of this meeting, what will be the GTA 6 release window was also outlined, for which the prices of a reveal will increase by the end of the year.
However, among the words of CEO Strauss Zelnick there is another passage that has greatly intrigued the players. Talking with GamesIndustry, the head of the company shared his thoughts on the arrival of new mid-generation consoles, as already happened with PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X also known as Project Scorpio. Zelnick’s response is quite sensational, as he states that these consoles will most likely arrive.
In fact, one question concerned the possibility that Take-Two exploits any mid-gen consoles for graphic updates of its titles. Zelnick claimed that these consoles they will probably comeeven if the arrival of a mid-gen will not have a big impact on the way the company works:
They probably will, but PS4 Pro and Xbox One X haven’t impacted our business much.
Both PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X were announced about three years after the launch of the generation, and if Zelnick is right, the reveal of these new consoles may not be far off.
In fact, for some weeks there has been insistent talk of PlayStation 5 Pro and its imminent announcement, which could surprisingly happen during next week’s showcase.
Even at Xbox, something is moving: the famous Keystone console has been spotted again in recent times, and in addition to this, mid-generation hardware could also be on the way.
