QUAKE

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the release of Quake, the dark-toned first-person fantasy shooter, an improved version of the original game is now available for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass for consoles and PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch, with Backward compatibility for Xbox Series X | S and PlayStation 5. The Xbox Series X | S and PS5 versions, soon available as a free update, will be in 4K at 120 FPS.

Additionally, Quake II and Quake III: Arena have been added to the Xbox Game Pass for PC catalog in their original versions.

  • Original Quake, Enhanced Version: Don’t miss the authentic experience of the original Quake, updated and graphically improved. Added to the ability to play in 4K, with widescreen support, are refined models, dynamic and color brightness, anti-aliasing, depth and the original Trent Reznor soundtrack.
  • Online, cross-play, multiplayer and cooperative modes: try the cooperative mode online or locally, with split screen, up to 4 players or dedicated to pure old-school combat with 8-player (online) or 4-player (local) games. Multiplayer allows cross-play between all platforms and will have a dedicated server for creating online games.
  • Original and unreleased expansions: the new version of Quake comes with both original expansion packs, “Scourge of Armagon” and “Dissolution of Eternity”. In addition, the award-winning developers of MachineGames have been working on two new expansions: “Dimension of the Past” and the all-new “Dimension of the Machine”.

DEATHLOOP

The Arkane Lyon team explored DEATHLOOP’s multiplayer mode in their post yesterday, analyzing what it would be like to play as Julianna by hypothetically chasing Colt, the character that will control the players. With new gameplay footage and lots of detailed information on how to approach this addicting shooter, gamers who can’t wait to try this highly anticipated title, now imminent on PS5 and PC, can’t help but enjoy the show.
