You start breathing air of Challenger League in the competitive landscape of Rainbow Six Siege ! With today, in fact, the registrations for the Open Qualifier officially open, which will bring three teams to take part in the second most important competition in Europe.

The Challenger League, as I told you, is the second most important competition in Europe, as well as the direct gateway to the European League. This year’s format wants the teams to be raised to a total of 16 teams that will be divided into four groups of four teams. In addition to the nine winning teams of the national championships (or the runners-up if the first are already part of EUL or EUCL), they will also take part in the competition MnM Gamingveterans of the defeat in the past Relegation and Chaos Esports Clubrelegated from the first season of the European League.
The ultimate goal of this Open Qualifier is therefore to qualify five teams in three different tournaments that will be held between now and the summer. The first Qualifier will start on April 30, 2021 and finish on May 2, while subsequently we will receive the dates of the other two. The tournament takes place on a single knockout bracket, therefore without a lower bracket, which, until the round of 16, will only see Best of 1 matches (Bo1) and from this round to the final, instead, all Bo3s. For the first Qualifier the seeds will be randomly drawn while in the second and third a points system will take over and will be used as a reference. The top five teams in the three tournaments will qualify for the Challenger League group stage.
It is useful to keep in mind that, should a top 5 team win a national championship, they will lose their slot as winner of the Qualifier, acquiring the status of winner of the national championship, granting it to the first team in the ranking of these three tournaments. Here’s how the distribution of points during the Qualifiers:
- 1st place: 100 points
- 2nd place: 75 points
- 3rd-4th place: 50 points
- 5th – 8th place: 25 points
- 9th – 16th place: 15 points
- 17th – 32nd place: 10 points
For what concern prize poolinstead the division is as follows:
- 1st place: € 2000
- 2nd place: € 1500
- 3rd place: € 1000
- 4th place: € 500
