The dataminers jumped into action again, and uncovered potential new details about the new Warzone map arriving with Call of Duty 2021.
If the rumors of the last few months are confirmed, the COD will return to the time of the Second World War with Call of Duty: Vanguard, directed by Sledgehammer Games and to which numerous other Activision studios are also collaborating.
Not much is known about the new title arriving by the end of 2021 – the reveal should take place in the course of the summer, as happened for Black Ops Cold War -, but a recent report by VGC has stated that Activision plans to release a brand new WWII-themed Warzone map at the release of Vanguard, thus avoiding prolonging the wait for new content as it did for Treyarch’s latest game.
Following the leak, according to which the new map is described as a mode similar to Fireteam but with many more players, the dataminers also found potential locations for the new map.
Call of Duty dataminer and leaker Nanikos has shared on Twitter some locations, which would refer to the Vanguard map, found from the game files, crediting another dataminer, such Glitchyfor finding them after updating the Season 4.
Here are the potential areas of the WWII Warzone map:
- Resort
- Capital
- Radio Station
- Subpen
- Farms
- Airfield
- Lagoon
- Beach Head
- Caldera
- Mines
- Village
- Airstrip
- Docks
- Arsenal
The COD 2021 WZ POIs have been found in the latest update. They are as follows.
Resort, capital, radio station, subpen, farms, airfield, lagoon, beach head, caldera, mines, village, airstrip, docks, arsenal

Some of these places sound familiar to Call of Duty fans, as they refer to historical maps of the franchise (Airfield was featured in COD World at War), while others seem to be particular references to the WWII concept.
Subpenfor example, short for submarine penis a bunker used to protect submarines from air attacks and was often used during World War II.
Activision has not confirmed or denied the leak, and will hardly comment on these news before the official reveal of Call of Duty 2021.
