On the day when Sony surprisingly registers the brand of Sunset Overdrivethe nice game by Insomniac Games published in 2015 as an Xbox One exclusive, suggesting that something around the return of the brand is about to happen, a very interesting potential leak arrives on 4chan.
On the forum, also reported by Reddit, a user posted what is the alleged lineup of announcements that Sony will hold at its next State of Play.
The latest State of Play, a digital event dedicated to the upcoming releases of the PlayStation world, was held last week, with Insomniac Games that amazed by showing in action Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.
The next appointment could probably arrive at the beginning of the summer, perhaps shortly after the E3 2021 – which, remember, Sony will not participate.
In this list, which obviously is not officially confirmed, there are some really interesting titles. The leaker talks about the possible relaunch of Media Molecule’s latest work with Dreams +due out on PS5 in July, and the first official sequences of GTA 5 in next-gen versiondue out in the second half of the year.
The State of Play, according to the leaker, will also show some unreleased games. One of them is The Mitchells vs The Machines: Overchargedpresumably tie-in video game of the excellent animated film The Mitchells vs. the Machines recently landed on Netflix (here the review of the film). There is also space not only for the remastered edition of Sunset Overdrive for Sony consoles, but also for the announcement of Sunset Apocalypse, the possible sequel to the game this time exclusively on PS5.
