CI Games today announced the release of the PS5 version of the highly anticipated game, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2will be postponed due to unforeseen technical issues discovered in the weeks leading up to launch.
This will not affect the launch date on the other announced platforms – the game is still slated to launch on June 4th on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox X | S and PC. CI Games is very confident of the game’s performance on these other platforms and has a highly experienced team that is working hard to ensure that the PS5 version meets an equally high standard.
As a gesture of goodwill in light of this news, CI Games has decided to offer the first major DLC for free to players who will play the title on PS5, PS4, Xbox X | S, Xbox One and PC, at no additional cost. The DLC is currently under development and more news on the release date will be available soon.
Additionally, the physical and digital PS4 versions will allow free updates to the digital version for PS5, ready for download when available, to ensure that PS5 players can still purchase and play the title on June 4, 2021.
