Square Enix announces Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier, the franchise’s first battle royale

All Game News

Yesterday evening, Square Enix announced not only Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, which will re-propose last year’s highly acclaimed game with technical improvements for PS5 and also a DLC dedicated to Yuffie, but also two curious projects related to the world of FF7. In both cases, we are talking about titles for the mobile market.

The first game is Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis, a chapter-based single-player experience that will cover the entire FFVII timeline, including what happens in the original game and all FFVII compilations, as well as new narrative elements related to the origins of SOLDIER written by FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE screenwriter, Kazushige Nojima.

Here is the announcement trailer for Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis.

The second game, even more curious, is Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier, also designed for mobile but which clearly changes the cards on the table: it will in fact be the first action battle royale game in the history of the franchise, set in Midgar before the events of FF7.

As an aspiring SOLDIER, the player must make the most of their spells and skills in a battle for survival. Here is the announcement trailer.

More information on FINAL FANTASY VII THE FIRST SOLDER and FINAL FANTASY VII EVER CRISIS will be posted later.
