SSC Napoli announces the exclusive partnership with eFootball PES from the 2022/2023 season

Konami Digital Entertainment BV announced today that it has signed a long-term collaboration agreement with the Napoli (“Napoli”) Italian football club.

This official partnership, related to the football-themed video game sector, will start in the 2021/22 season and will grant numerous marketing rights. Starting with the 2022/23 football season, the eFootball PES series will be the only real-time football simulation game to include an authorized reproduction of Napoli.

KONAMI also announced that it will become the official partner of the Napoli sports center. From 1 July 2021, the facility will be officially named “SSC Napoli KONAMI Training Center” and will include a brand new gaming area for players and guests.

Founded 95 years ago, the Società Sportiva Calcio Napoli is one of the best known football clubs in Italy and for most of its history it has played in the top national championship.

This important new partnership from KONAMI for the series eFootball PES follows the agreements concluded with other Italian football clubs including Roma and Lazio.

Naoki Morita, president of Konami Digital Entertainment BV said: “With this partnership agreement between our companies, we will further strengthen the position of eFootball PES as the definitive video game for Italian football fans. By showing confidence in our long-term plans, we are honored that Napoli have decided to sign this exclusive agreement with KONAMI ”.

KONAMI has further linked its name to the Napoli brand by acquiring the naming rights of the sports center. This partnership is only the latest step in the broader work that aims to internationalize the Napoli brand and which has been undertaken by the club in recent years “.
