In a surprise move, Konami made the eFootball PES 2022 demo on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S, PS4 and Xbox One, available to download for free by all users right now.
The demo, downloadable from the respective stores of the various platforms, however, is not present as PES 2022, but with a different name.
In order to participate, you will have to search the PlayStation Store or Xbox Store for the application New Football Game – Online Performance Testa trial version that will then be used by developers to obtain important feedback for the final edition, also with regard to cross-play between the various platforms.
As reported on the product page, in fact, “All elements of the gameplay (controls, balance, etc.) are still under development, therefore subject to changes and improvements in the future”.
It is therefore not a traditional demo, but a particular trial version that will be used by the development team to collect the opinions of the community in view of the new official chapter of the football series.
The demo is available from today, June 24, until July 8. It is possible that a new demo will be released later.

Consequently, before the official launch the game will enter the open beta phase with the features described below.The purpose of this testing phase is to evaluate the quality of online matchmaking and the connection to servers.
Note: The game mechanics, balance, animations and graphics are still under development and will receive improvements before the official launch.
