It was a title on which many, including us, had set their eyes, and which in the spring of 2020 had debuted on Xbox and PC not without a good dose of criticism – also highlighted in our review. In it, we wished for a rich future for Bleeding Edge made up of substantial and important updates.
Needless to say, we were wrong, as were so many others: the hero shooter of Ninja Theory he is officially dead and gone.
The developers of Heavenly Sword and Hellblade have indeed confirmed that there will be no new updates for Bleeding Edgewhose support is officially concluded less than ten months after its release. Don’t be afraid: you will still be able to play Bleeding Edge online on Xbox and PC, but no additional content will arrive – it is not clear what will happen with regards to eventual technical support for the game in case of problems.
The studio relied on Twitter to break the news and thank the players for enjoying the online experience, giving the appointment to new projects within the software house right now:
With the studio now focused on our new projects (Senua’s Saga, Project Mara and The Insight Project), we have decided that there will be no further content updates for Bleeding Edge. The game will still be playable on Xbox and PC. Thanks to the fans and keep collaborating by creating chaos!

Although the (low) active user counter is unlikely to increase in the next period, especially after the news of the closure of support, but we remind you that you can recover and try Bleeding Edge via Xbox Game Pass.
As for Ninja Theory, on the other hand, the studio that has been part of the Xbox Game Studios for some years is dedicating itself mainly to Hellblade II: Senua’s Saga, the sequel to the award-winning Hellblade, which is still lacking a release date. We still don’t know anything about the other two projects, which will probably remain secret for a long time.
