Jade Raymondafter the unfortunate experience with Google Stadia, is ready to leave, and today we have discovered the details of her new professional adventure: the creator of Assassin’s Creed and Watch Dogs will lead Havena new independent software house based in Montreal that is already working on aIP still not announced for PlayStation.
Via the official PlayStation blog, the new CEO and founder of Haven Entertainment Studios spoke about the challenges faced during the pandemic period, and the new and fascinating adventure that lies ahead for his career and for the Sony world.
The keyword of Haven, as reported in Raymond’s post, will be that of freedom and creativity, already set in motion for the development of a game not yet announced for PlayStation and which will arrive in the next few years:
And so today I’m announcing Haven, an indie studio where many of the talented game developers I’ve worked with for years (and love it very much!) Are teaming up to do what we’re most passionate about. It is time for us to focus again on the GAMES in a place where we can practice our trades without barriers or hindrances. We want to create worlds where players can escape, have fun, express themselves and find a community. We want to put our passion into a project. We want to create something wonderful that people can experience. Because we believe in the power of games to bring joy to people’s lives. And Sony too. Their commitment to excellence is unmatched. This is why I couldn’t be happier for their support and support.
No indication on the game currently in development, but new information will certainly come in the future.
Jade Raymond began her career in the world of video games dealing with The Sims Online for Electronic Arts, before moving to Ubisoft and starting, in her role as producer, important series such as Assassin’s Creed and Watch Dogs. In 2019 she then decides to leave the French giant to work at Google and its Stadia platform for the creation of exclusive content. A few weeks ago, with Google’s clear change in business strategy, Raymond abandoned her post, and therefore decided to found the new Haven studio.
