Today’s Nintendo Direct brings us the announcement that had already been, at least partially, expected: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword will return to Switch with a remastered edition which will take advantage of the new Joy-Con.
The development team, from what we discover, has worked hard to be able to carry the original experience on the Switch with new features, which also include support for the Switch buttons only.
The game will be available from July 16, 2021.
During the Direct, Nintendo also specified a detail that should not be underestimated, especially for those who have recently approached the Zelda series. Skyward Sword, by Nintendo’s own admission, is indeed a visionary game for certain mechanics but now also dated, and that certainly cannot rival the masterpiece that was Breath of the Wild. However, it is a game that is very dear to the big N, and which deserves to be rediscovered.
