Xbox has announced that, starting today, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members from 22 countries, including Italy, will be able to play 16 titles for the first Xbox and Xbox 360 via the cloud, on Android smartphones and tablets, with more games to come.
These are the words of Will Tuttle, editor in chief of Xbox Wire:
Today, we’re embarking on a new journey for the Backward Compatibility Program: taking it to the cloud. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can now tap into a collection of past favorites in a whole new way, right on mobile devices, turning them into retro handheld gaming systems. 16 original Xbox and Xbox 360 games are now available on Android phones and tablets, with more games to come. We’ve been listening to the feedback, going back to our first preview of cloud games, and making games from previous generations available on mobile devices was one of the most requested features by the community.
With the exception of some titles for which Microsoft is adapting touch controls, you will need a compatible controller to play Xbox and Xbox 360 games via the cloud.
Here is the list of 16 games added to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate cloud service today:
