We are all looking forward to having more information about it God of War: Ragnarokthe new title dedicated to the story of Kratos And Atreus. In the last few hours they have been discussing the claims of David Jaffeformer employee of Sony Santa Monica and game director of the first God of War, as well as creative director of God of War II.
According to David Jaffe it is very likely the new title is cross-gentherefore available at launch on both Playstation 5 and Playstation 4. The game logo was presented on 17 September 2020 on the occasion of the showcase dedicated to Playstation 5, together with the launch window set for 2021. However, there is no new information at the moment on the highly anticipated title.
The former developer of the Californian software house, despite not having relations with Santa Monica for several years, was still involved in important past projects related to God of War, his words therefore continue to have a certain weight. Jaffe spoke out about Ragnarok’s cross-gen release during a live streaming. Answering questions from fansexpressed positivity about the hypothesis of having the highly anticipated title on both Playstation 4 and Playstation 5.
Seems like #GodOfWarRagnarok will be cross-gen title after all!
“I’m sure the next #GodofWar will be # PS4,# PS5. Of course it will ”david jaffe says.

At the moment nothing has been confirmed yetbut this possibility is certainly not to be excluded given the year of transition in which we find ourselves.
Jim Ryanpresident and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, reiterated recently that the company will continue to work on PS4 and support his community for a long time to come. The best experience will necessarily be on PS5, but the next-gen console may not be essential to play. Certainly it would be a shame not to jump on the potential of the new DualSense and on the graphic rendering of PS5, but Santa Monica would certainly not be the only software house to decide to develop its flagship title also for old-gen. Let’s think for example of Guerrilla and to Horizon: Forbidden West, already confirmed as a cross-generational project.
We look forward and hope that 2021 will bring us more detailed information on the highly anticipated God of War: Ragnarok.
