Microsoft has announced that the Xbox Game Pass cloud gaming testing phase on Windows 10 PCs and iOS devices.
The testing phase will initially cover subscribers to Xbox Game Pass Ultimateand, as explained by the vice president of the xCloud project Catherine Gluckstein, it will be necessary to be invited by the same Xbox division to be able to participate in the trial and test cloud gaming.
Starting tomorrow, we will begin sending out invitations to select Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members to begin testing the Xbox Cloud Gaming Limited Beta for Windows 10 PCs and Apple phones and tablets via web browser. . We’re launching xbox.com/play where invitees can play over 100 Xbox Game Pass titles via Edge, Google Chrome, or Safari. Offering cloud gaming via the browser and having a simplified, universal landing page is a great opportunity to make cloud gaming accessible to more players in more places over time.
To participate in the test, in addition to the invitation from Microsoft, they will need a compatible Bluetooth or USB controller, or they will be able to use the customized touch controls on smartphones and tablets already available for more than 50 games including Minecraft Dungeons.
The first phase of the beta will focus on fine-tuning the features and stability of the service, as well as creating a consistent experience for all Xbox platforms.
