The big moment has arrived: starting today, and running until November 2021, Microsoft will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Xbox brandwith many initiatives that will take place all over the world.
The first original Xbox was in fact released in North America on November 15, 2001, followed by many more launches around the world, including Japan, Australia, Europe, Latin America, China, Italy and many other countries. Since then, the Xbox brand has changed the face of video games several times, building essential sagas like Halo, Gears and Forza, and giving life to services like Xbox Game Pass that have revolutionized the way people play today.
To kick off the celebrations, today at 20:00 Italian time, on the Xbox Twitch channel, there will be a special live dedicated to Halo: Combat Evolved, available on the Master Chief Collection. In fact, there couldn’t have been a better game to usher in Xbox’s 20 years party.
All fans will also be able to participate in the virtual anniversary party by posting the best memories and stories that link them to Xbox on their social media using the hashtag # Xbox20.
Additionally, Microsoft invites players to check out the Xbox Gear Shop for the first wave of official Xbox 20th anniversary gear, including T-shirts and other special gadgets.
